The cemetery administrator in Halmstad plans on using the heat gained from crematoriums as a source of heating for their facilities, and in the future maybe even the whole town. He states that it's a waste of energy and affects the environment in a negative way.
Well, it could be a good idea and a way of saving the environment... but I wouldn't be comfortable knowing that I don't have to be cold because someone died. I think that you should show some respect to the deceased, and not take advantage of them. I see this as morally wrong.
As of now this is just a thought, they haven't got the suggestion approved yet. I'm unsure whether it will or not, to be honest.
I think there are better ways to save the environment. I don't know if this would really contribute a lot either, maybe in the long run but it still won't be much if there's only one city using the method. They should try other things instead if they feel like preserving our nature, for example taking the bus or bicycle instead of the car or changing to low-energy lamps.
I didn't find anyone else who brought this subject up on their blog, but there are comments on the article. Not a single one of them were serious, either referring to WW2 or making puns.

A bit about me
Well, my name is Mikaela and I'm 15 years old. Since second grade I've always been going to the same class as people who are one year older than me. I was offered to skip a grade by my teachers, who figured that the stuff my classmates were doing at the moment was too little of a challenge to me.
I suppose my main interests are music, manga, anime and games. I've played the guitar for a pretty long time now, but I haven't dedicated myself to it as much as I wish I had. I guess I'm too impatient to learn it properly, but I'm an okay player at least. I do enjoy creating music and everything, but I can't see myself making a career out of it. Manga and anime is like any other book or TV-show really. You can't like it all, but you love some of it. I prefer manga to regular comics though since they're not directed at a younger audience by custom and often have much more beautiful illustrations. Some pictures are just striking, delivering powerful feelings. Games are great enjoyment, by yourself and with friends. I've got access to games from when I was very little, so it's always been a part of my life. My favorite game of all time would have to be Fable II, it's really addicting. It's a bit like The Sims and an action-RPG at the same time, which makes it a great experience.
I have a hard time stating good qualities about myself, since I don't want to brag. But I would have to say that I'm a quick learner and I care about my friends. My not so good qualities would be.... Maybe that I'm kind of shy and don't like talking in front of lots of people, and that I'm very indecisive (hencde the name of this blog).
But I'm pretty happy with myself and my current life, so I don't worry too much. I keep positive and aim for a good future, hopefully as a game developer. Until then, I will study hard and try to enjoy every day.

D'espairsRay

It really wasn't long ago that I discovered my current favorite band. Please note that I say current, since taste is always developing and changing and there are lots of bands that I love equally. It's just that at the moment, I'm really stuck on D'espairsRay.
It was mostly through my early interest in manga and animé that I got intrigued by Japan and it's culture in general. So earlier this year, I tried browsing for japanese rock/metal-bands. I think I was a little surprised by the large amount that popped up, since the general image I had of Japanese music was happy pop-tunes. Among many other good bands which I now listen to, was D'espairsRay.
There are several things about this band that I love. They don't really care what people think, which makes their style of music rather inconsistent so you can always expect something new. Most of the time I really enjoy their songs, but since they change styles alot you can't be expected to like them all. This is a great way to explore new styles, and to get some variation. Secondly, the singer, Hizumi, has the most wonderful voice I've ever heard. It's just amazing to listen to it. He can use loads of techniques and it always sounds great. And, sadly enough only judging by videos I've seen, they seem to be a great live-experience. You can tell that it's not playback or anything and it still sounds as awesome as ever.
Though, I'm sad to say, some of their songs are just plain boring. The title track of their newest single, KAMIKAZE, did not meet my expectations. Maybe it's just too "poppy" for me. But it's not only their old stuff that's good. Trickster, from their latest album, is in my opinion one of their greatest songs. I seriously get chills when Hizumi begins singing the chorus.
So that's what makes D'espairsRay my favorite band, and they'll probably have that status for quite some time. Click here to read another review, this one of their first album Coll:Set.

Blogs, blogs, blogs
So, this is a blog. It's a very common phenomena these days. It's not just young people who write blogs, persons from every culture and agegroup possible has one. So why does one keep a blog?
It's not a diary. A diary is for no one but yourself, whilst a blog is for everyone to read. I would say that's the main difference, since both are ways of getting stuff off your chest. It could be just sharing how your day was, what you and your friends were up to earlier. It could be ranting about something unfair that you've come accross. It could be a way to send out a message to the public, something political. Or it could be poems, film reviews... There's endless possibilities to what you choose to do with your blog.
A blog would be more dangerous than a journal or diary though. Since everyone can view it, if you write about personal stuff you're sure to get critique. Maybe you unintentionally revealed something you were not supposed to tell. Maybe you implied dislike of a certain person close to you. That kind of stuff is more suited to keep for yourself, since if the persons in question probably will get offended. I think some people ignore this fact, since they're desperate for attention and publicity. If you write some juicy gossip or something embarrassing that your friend did, at least classmates will find it interesting. The question is whether it would actually lead to gain of popularity, or if you would be abandoned by your close friends in fear of being hung out on the internet. Maybe this doesn't matter for some people, maybe they just want to get noticed by the masses.
It would be great for pointing out political or religious views, though. If you have very strong opinions you'll be sure to attract visitors. It might lead to debates, or people might think twice and agree with you. If you're a good writer you will certainly make a big impact on the readers anyway. I think blogs like these would be more successful, since it's easier for them to relate to your posts. It's not everyone who cares whether you had a fun day in school or not.
So there's a pretty big difference between a diary and a blog. I hope there's not too many people who confuse these two, since it could lead to dire consequenses.

Decidophobia — fear of making decisions.
I wouldn't consider myself really suffering from it, but I thought it was quite fitting seeing as I often have a hard time making choices.
Anyhow, I'm writing this blog for English class. Seems like an interesting assignment, I definately prefer it to just reading and doing exercises and stuff. Well, I don't think many people will stumble accross this blog, but... Feel free to read and comment and so on.
For now, I bid you farewell.
